Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is quite a new method for diagnosis and treatment of many abdominal (which includes gynecological) diseases. Dr. Adamov says that future of gynecology belongs to laparoscopy and in 5-10 years open surgery in gynecology will cease to exist, it will be applied only in oncology. Nevertheless, laparoscopy is identical to surgery, as it is carried out according to its classical rules and corresponds to its requirements and standards.

There is a wide range of laparoscopic operations available:

01 Defertilization is the first operation performed laparoscopically. This type of contraception is recognized as the most reliable, but unfortunately, it is irreversible. This is the reason why this procedure is carried out only on patients older than 35 years of age who have as many as 2 children.

02 Extrauterine pregnancy treatment – in 98% cases of tubal pregnancy. This means that the gestational sac is located in the fallopian tube lumen. Extrauterine pregnancy refers to the conditions that can cause intra-abdominal bleeding. That is why it should be operated on an expedited basis.

03 Adhesive process treatment. Adhesive process is the most frequent reason for infertility.

04 Uterine tubes patency restoration.

05 Treatment of hydrosalpinx. Hydrosalpinx is fluid accumulation within the fallopian tube cavity. Such tubes are non-functional and should be removed.

06 Polycystic ovarian disease therapy(PCOS) is carried out by means of ovary surface punctual coagulation. Afterthat the majority of patients have ovulation in the course of several months.

07 Endometriosis. Accordingto WHO, laparoscopy is recognized as the only valid method of endometriosis diagnosis. Duringtheoperation hotbeds ofendometriosis and cystic ovarian endometriosis removal are destroyed. Two-stage scheme of endometriosis treatment is considered the most effective: after the surgery patients take Diphereline and Zoladex for several months.

08 Laparoscopy provides better possibilities for conservative myomectomy - that is removing myoma ganglions from the uterine wall, and thereby leaving uterus in the organism.

09 Specialists of our Center are also able to perform special laparoscopic operations for pelvis floor strengthening. The method is based on ligaments suturing with each other, anchoring of special strengthening artificial stripes.

10 Urogynecological pathology treatment- Burch Laparoscopy Operation – urethra is pulled to pubic bones by a special stripe which forms an angle between the bladder and urethra needed for continence and also provides necessary support for sagging urethra.
