Artificial insemination

Artificial insemination is the deliberate introduction of a specially prepared sperm into the uterus.

Then everything happens as usual: through the uterine tubes, male gametes should rich the oocyte and fertilize it.

If there is a tubal obstruction, AI (artificial insemination) is not carried out. It is suggested to start with IVF at once.

Main indication for AI - cervical factor, i.e. male gametes are immobilized as soon as they get into the cervical canal of the uterus.

Apart from that, AI is carried out when some of the sperm values are decreased.

The sperm is thickened, settled, centrifugated in order to make it more concentrated and free of pathological male gametes.

The number of possible insemination attempts can be unlimited, but if conception did not happen in the course of 1-2 cycles, there must be some other reasons for infertility. It is worth to start thinking about IVF.
